Why the Black Forest? - Located in Germany, the Black Forest is regal, beautiful, elegant, mysterious and casual fun, all at the same time. Our Shepherds of the Black Forest reflect these wonderful qualities. Why Sycamore Hill Farm? - Our philosophy is to breed for the highest quality. We stand behind our breeding and if something is in need of attention we will do our best to make it right. We accurately represent our dogs and will not sell in a mismatched scenario. Come explore how each puppy is well matched to its new home. What Do We Breed For? - Our dogs are socialized on the farm with other dogs and people. Since 1976 we have focused our efforts on preparing well behaved dogs for numerous living scenarios. These dogs will inherently protect you, and obviously some of them are stronger than others and need to be handled appropriately. We will not sell dogs for protection only, but seek homes where the dogs will fit in as family pets and still provide family protection. When we meet with you to select your puppy, we will attempt to create a best fit. We watch our dogs from the day they are born and know them well.
