Here are some of the key date targets for our Shepherds: Beginning with Day of Birth – deposits may be received for the puppies. Choices (by gender) are based on the order of the receipt of deposits. Final choices are made at 6 weeks. 2, 3, 4, and 5 weeks and prior to leaving the farm – puppies and their dam are wormed with STRONGID-T. 4 - 5 weeks - dogs are immunized with the Parvo Distemper shot. Clients are allowed to view the pups but not touch them prior to one week following this inoculation. 6 weeks – clients may visit and play with pups, with the owner's assistance, spending time getting to know the puppies. 8 weeks – pups receive their first vet recommended puppy inoculation. 9 weeks – puppies are ready to go to their new homes. If there is any problem with a puppy sold, we count on our clients to call us first. We will attempt to do whatever possible to help resolve the situation, from recommending sources of veterinary care to possible training opportunities. While we occasionally have adult dogs available for purchase, we insist on meeting the potential buyer and watch them interact with each dog. A discussion with the perspective buyer helps ensure that this dog would be leaving the farm for a good home.
